The Junior Small bore Program is aimed at beginners having an interest in bulls eye rifle target shooting. All 'new' juniors wishing to participate are required to complete an NRA "First Steps" program (meets Boy Scouts Merit Badge requirements) before accessing the range. The instruction is provided at no cost to juniors.

Parents need not be members of PR&GC (but we'll encourage them!).  To participate, juniors must have written permission of parent or legal guardian (at minimum, parents must accompany their junior on first night), be physically able to hold and demonstrate control of a small bore rifle, demonstrate an ability to understand and apply rules of firearms safety.

We encourage our juniors to participate in all matches if possible. In addition to the scheduled matches, we hold Tuesday night air rifle training in the indoor range from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and Thursday night small bore training on the small bore range.
