   Welcome to the Phoenix Rod & Gun Club's website. Founded as a private, Arizona Non-Profit Corporation Act ARS Title 10, Chapter 5 social organization, the club is dedicated to the free exercise of Second Amendment rights as prescribed in the Constitution; the safe and responsible use of all firearms in the pursuit of recreational shooting, competition excellence, self-improvement, and self-defense. The range is located at the northwest corner of South Mountain City Park off of 7th Avenue at 915 West Olney Drive, adjacent to the Phoenix Police Academy.  Our sixty acre facility was constructed in 1946 after relocating from the old range at the east end of what is now Sky Harbor Airport. The present range is open exclusively to members seven days a week from 7AM until sunset; non-members every Saturday and Sunday on the Public Range from 7AM till 11AM June - September and 7AM till 2PM October - May (CLOSED Easter Sunday; Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years weekends).  Our range complex has eight separate shooting venues supporting 16 different marksmanship disciplines.

  Please take a few moments to check out our website and explore the multitude of shooting opportunities available.  Whether you're a casual weekend plinker or a ardent competitive shooter, there are opportunities to practice your craft at the Phoenix Rod & Gun Club.   Membership is open to qualified applicants upon request. The club is located on city park property, there is a strictly enforced 15 MPH speed limit, NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are permitted on Club property; City Park Rangers make random checks of parking lots.
